What I Am Looking At Today: The Apartment of a Collector

I love collectors. I love the quirky eye,  the personal mix, the not store bought. The, "where did you get that", look. The apartment here is such a place. Extremely personal and stuffed with great items.

A painting of Diana between windows and a mix of periods keeps this from looking tired. Though there are many different styles and objects, the look works because it's organized and the objects have nice rapport.

Velvet chairs and sofa,  vintage japanese silk pillows, low Chinese table laden with books and a few objects anchor the room.

A corner with a console table used as a desk and a nice collection of prints and drawings.

The bed room is simple and elegant with books as a headboard and Clarence House silk velvet pillows.

The trick to this is confidence and the ability to mix different styles with no fear of mixing quality, high and low....as long as it works visually.
